Can I use it?
Take it freely. The Archive's own words, its facts, its summaries, and its citations, may be copied and reused for any purpose. Credit to The Astoria Archive is appreciated, and the source named on each record should travel with it. What belongs to the holders stays theirs: photographs, scans, and texts at the collections named in this file are the holders' material, and this file carries the links, not the material itself. The nations' material is not in this file at all: it stands at the nations' own pages only.

The Record as a File
This page hands over the Archive's own record as a file: the same index this site runs on, made at the moment you press the button, so the file cannot go stale the way a file posted once and forgotten does. What is in it is what is here: the dated records with their sources and citations, the people, the places, the annual gatherings, and the collections that hold the originals.
The JSON file is the whole record, for a computer to read: it opens in a notebook, a classroom exercise, or a program of your own, and needs no key and no permission. The CSV file is the dated records alone, as a table a spreadsheet can open. If you build something with the record, the Archive would like to hear about it: the way in is Bring What You Have.
